The Liminality Group is an organisation of highly trained systemic and psychodynamic facilitators specialising in building psychological safety and trust within complex, risk-averse systems. Our work creates the conditions where conversations about race, identity, authority, trauma, and accountability, often emotionally charged and contested, can be engaged with honestly and productively. 

 We use Psychoanalytical, psychodynamic and systemic approaches, creating a contained space for learning which will involve a mixture of group discussions, experiential learning, reflections, observations and in-depth exploration into the experiences of minoritised communities and service users. 

Recommended group size is up to 30 to maximise impact. We can also scale delivery across whole systems, having worked with groups of 200+ staff with full capacity.

 Our 7-step framework across two days will:

• Surface how disproportionality operates across Youth Justice and its impact on minoritised children
• Map disparities from pre-birth through to system engagement
• Apply a 5-step adultification framework to actively reduce harm
• Understand and operationalise intergenerational trauma in practice
• Mobilise Role, Task, and Authority to drive systemic change
• Embed culturally informed assessment frameworks to strengthen formulations and decision-making
• Create the psychological safety needed to hold honest conversations about systemic and institutional drivers of disproportionality

We deliver two full experiential and applied learning days, running from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Each day is intentionally structured to create space for group work, reflection, and applied tasks, ensuring learning is not just understood but actively embedded into practice.
